Day 35: Red double bus tour of London (June 18, 2012):

     Today, we went and got bus tickets! London is HUGE - 9 million people, so we think this is a great way to get to see it! 

    We hop on the tour bus and put ear plugs in and a recorded voice toldus where and what things were. We saw Big Ben, Buckingham palace, Westminster Abby, the London Eye, the London Bridge, Hyde park, the street that the Beetles, Anthony Hopkins, and Sean Connery live on. What amazes me most is the mix of the not just old - but ancient buildings that are mixed in with the new and growing. 

     We get off the bus to eat lunch. We order lasagne, fried egg and toast, two yummy avocado sandwiches, and spaghetti. As we are eating, a couple missionary comes in and sits down next to us. We get back on the bus and get off at Hamley's toy store, the largest toy store in the world! Dallin bought a flying UFO , Peyton and Kennedi got sticker books, and Ashy got markers. 

 After hours on the hop on - hop off bus,

we got out and walked around Buckingham palace. It was BIG and where the queen of England lives.

 

I got a hot pink "I love London" sweatshirt.

 We ride the metro back to our hotel and watch English movies. Boy, its nice to have English speaking TV (Kennedi still says gracias to people=).
