Day 68: Cinque Terre! (July 21):

Today, we drive to La Spezia, the last stop to catch a train to get to the Cinque Terre, which are five quaint little ancient villages, built right on the cliffs of the Italian Riviera. The fact that you can only reach them by train,

or rigorous hiking, has preserved their history, as there is no commercial development in these villages. The buildings are bright and stacked right on top of each other – set on the sparkling blue ocean - absolutely charming

We eat lunch at a cute little pizza restaurant. Dallin got to play the piano in the little restaurant we had lunch in.” Grandma Walker.
The villages are filled with tourists, but it is beautiful! Unfortunately, Ashy and Tanner have fevers, so after walking through two villages, we call it a day and go back to our hotel and swim.
