Saying goodbye to our home in Bedar. |
Today, we woke up and packed our bags because it was our last day in
Spain! After about four hours in the car, we arrived in Motejaque, we
parked at this parking lot and took our suitcases up to our house . Our
house was piled right next to all the other houses all on one mountain.
It is all straight up hill!" Sadly, we found out our house has no pool,
microwave, or washing machine! Guess we'll have to live with it! We were
all hungry so we walked down to the plaza and ordered dinner. The
owner's name was Jonathon. He was English, so that was easy to talk to
him. His restaurant is where we "get our Wifi!" Talie.

"Today we drove to our new house outside of Ronda. It took five hours to get there. I had to go #1 really bad. Once we got there. We had to take our BIG suitcases up the BIG hill! Then we went to a cool restaurant, me Peyton, and Kennedi shard like 50 chicken nuggets. We all had Orange fanta too. Then we all hung out at this park. It had no play set. Just floor. It was AWESOME. Then we went home and went to bed." Ashlynn.
"Again I get nervous as we are trying to find our new home. Especially as we can not get an address, because we cannot drive to our home - and we don't have a phone. We get to the plaza, park, and meet up with Maria, our contact, who leads us up narrow, steep streets and steps until we finally reach our home. It is a small, whitewashed home with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small connected family and dining area and a closet of a kitchen consisting of one little sink, a tiny gas stove, electric oven, a small refrigerator, one cupboard, one shelf and a whole lot of ants. Above the second floor, there were steps tot the rooftop terrace. As you look out, you are surrounded by tiny, white houses nestled in rocky cliff mountains. You look around and everyone has laundry hanging on their roofs and are sitting on their terrace furniture. We unpack, and then we go back down to the plaza where the kids play Frisbee and discover croquettes - deep fried chicken and potato rolls.

Beautiful views from our terrace. |

Dallin with our international Frisbee on the "streets" outside our house. |

Enjoying the plaza, where families would just gather and visit in the evenings. Life just slows down here. Something we could definitely adopt from the Spanish. |
