Day 73: Pont du Guard and swimming under the aqueduct (July 26):

Today, we discover that we hid our passports a little too well in our last hotel and left them in Menteccatini (a good 5 hour drive away, and just one week before we must have them to get home – aaahhhh!)
The hotel had found them and they agree to ship them – the quickest way possible – using the cash in the passport bag. Hopefully we get them in Barcelona by Monday!
Next we take off for a 2-3 hour drive to the Provence area of France. We find our hotel – thanks to a kind lady who googles it and gives us more detailed directions, and some road signs with arrows pointing the way.
This hotel has a pool as well, and the kids swim first thing, until we decided we are ready to leave. We stop at McDonalds – it’s so expensive here! And then drive off to Pont du Gard to swim under the aqueduct) that is built over a river and is only six feet shorter than the Colosseum!).

It is pretty cool! There are cliffs right under the aqueduct and Dallin and Ashy jump off of them.

Everyone around the cliffs, even the people in the canoe paddling by cheer Ashy on as she jumps off, because she is so much younger than the other cliff jumpers. She doesn’t even realize they are clapping for her until after she jumps off and comes out of the water to a crowd of applause.
Peyton and Kennedi find a swift current on a smooth rock that they slide down like a water slide, and Tanner crawls around the shallow water throwing rocks. What a fun and relaxing adventure evening!

We go back to the apartment, and of course, we swim some more.
